1) Ad-Aware by Lavasoft.  Definitely an effective piece of software. Adaware we must say was one of the leading titles to tackle the spyware and adware issues that became very common in 2001-2003.  As spyware became more complex in nature, different tools and utilities were needed.

2) Spybot Search & Destroy by Safer Networking.  A definite must.  We can’t stress how important it is to have this utility on your system.  cleans 50% of all spyware infections out there!

3) Spyware Doctor by Pc Tools.  Rated best spyware program for 2009.  Great tool to have on your side.  Comes with a built in anti virus as well.  Catches what others don’t.
