CCTV Surveillance Cameras
Surveillance cameras can come in many different shapes and sizes depending on many different factors. The following is a break down of the most commonly installed cameras that we utilize for our installations:
Dome Cameras
Dome security cameras are a great option for retail stores, restaurants and interiors of buildings. Dome Cameras blend easily with their surroundings since they happen to be small and compact and do come in various shapes, sizes and colors. Due to their dome shape and dark domes, it’s generally difficult to determine the direction in which the actual lens/camera is aimed at. Vandal resistant dome cameras are an excellent choice for areas that are susceptible to vandalism.
PTZ Cameras
PTZ Cameras are simply dome cameras but with a few exceptions. PTZ Cams enjoy features that many cameras do not. PTZ stands for Pan, Tilt & Zoom respectively. Such PTZ cameras can be moved from right to left, up and down and also enjoy a very power feature in some models which the Zoom feature. Such feature can be controlled via a computer, a laptop, a DVR (Digital Video Recorder), a PTZ Joystick or simply using a Smart Phone. This PTZ Camera is usually found at retail stores, outdoors, parking lots, garages and areas that require constant monitoring for important details. Such details that this camera can zoom in on is a person’s face for example, a license plate or simply a cash register.
Bullet Camera
Bullet cameras tend to be some of the most popular and versatile cameras on the market. Bullet cams tend to vary in size but are not as large as the other types available on the market. Those Bullet cameras tend to be used anywhere a dome camera can be used but with an added benefit of night vision. Due to the size of the cameras, many types of bullet cameras come equipped with infra-red lights that allow the camera to have better visibility during low light conditions. Such cams can be used via a hard-wired installation or can be fitted with a wireless transmitter for areas where running a video/hard wire is not possible.

DVR Solutions
